Where Faith Meets Steel to Create Handcrafted Art
Father’s Day 2021
This is where my blacksmithing story begins. On this day my beautiful wife surprised me by signing me up for a Green Coal class at my local forge. I was hooked from day one and have been passionately honing my craft since.

RCBA/AACB
As a member of the Rutherford County Blacksmiths Association and the Appalachian Area Chapter of Blacksmiths, I've had the privilege of continuing my blacksmithing journey. From local demos, instructing Green Coal students, and even holding multiple officers position for RCBA, my knowledge and understanding, as well as how much I still don't know about the art, have continued to grow and thrive. Through RCBA, I learned the basics of blacksmithing through the 13 fundamental skills projects of our Green Coal program. It is upon these skills that I continue to expand, experiment and explore this amazing craft.

Journey to Present
Finding my identity as a blacksmith has been an exciting journey and has taken on my names and forms. I started out with a couple of Viking themes, due to my love of the imagery of strong bearded warriors and the beautiful weapons they made. Slowly though my inspirations began to model my faith and so Chi Rho Ironworks was born. My style had always been a blend of blade work and wearables with a few traditional items thrown in, but more and more I find myself making items that reflect my faith in Jesus Christ. From crosses to crowns to even some swords and armor with period influences, I have so many ideas and designs that I can’t wait to complete and share.
